What to Expect

Preparing for your Massage

Do not have a large meal immediately prior to your appointment. Also in the 2 hours prior please try to avoid drinking too much coffee or water and avoid alcohol. Wear loose clothing. If due to a medical condition you have any doubts about your suitability for our treatment please consult with your G.P. in advance of making a booking.

What to expect when you arrive at the Thai Professional Therapeutic rooms in the Village Health Centre

Aom will listen to what you need from your treatment and endeavour to deliver the therapeutic service accordingly. Before your very first treatment Aom will ask you to complete a brief confidential questionnaire in our private waiting room which will include questions about your health. She will also discuss massage details with you before you move to the treatment room. These details will include such things as; your specific treatment, the type of essential oils you may want added to the massage oil, whether or not you would like total silence during the massage or soft relaxing music, the pressure level of the massage, any areas to focus on and any areas to avoid.

We allow a 15 minute buffer between appointments to allow time for the consultation and also for relaxation before you leave. You will be offered a bottle of water for hydration after your treatment.

We expect our clients to know and respect that our services are strictly limited to Thai therapeutic massage so any comments suggesting other services will not be tolerated.

During the massage

You will have the opportunity to remove some of your clothing in private.  If a client experiences any discomfort during the massage please let the therapist know. Aom will expose only the part of your body she will be working on. We respect and observe requirements relating to Hygiene, Covid, and Health and Safety, and all requirements of us as a tenant of the Village Health Centre.
